Mummy's sophomore effort at making a montage

Ok, today I'm a good girl, and Granny is home with Mummy, so Mummy had some time to play around with Powerpoint. Not bad hor??

The experience was a bit harrowing though, as my Mummy was so clumsy. Never mind, I shall give her a few more chances and see.

Today was Mummy's second try at bathing me, and this time she did it ALONE, since Granny was out doing marketing! Mummy scared me so much that I pooped onto her nightie! Aiyah, actually hor, not she scared me la, but it was still her fault, because she forgot to make me finish my toilet business first before bathing me, like how Granny taught her. Mummy says next time she's wearing armour before bathing me liao.

Me and My Cuppies!

Mummy is extremely proud of the cuppies she ordered for me to give out as my full-month gift (to her friends and relatives) coz she thinks they turned out very nice. kekekekeke... Most of her colleagues and friends commented that they were really pretty-looking and delicious too!

Boxes of pretty cuppies all in a row, all waiting to be delivered...

What the cuppies really looked like... nice? NICE??!! Mummy went through a lot of effort to think of the theme (pastel pink and white with garden theme) she wanted!

Me and my cuppies! YEAH!

A Report of the Ultimate Betrayal

Dear aunties, uncles and friends, I still can't believe what Mummy did to me on my full-month day *sniffle*. Mummy says it pains her too but she really wants me to have a nice crop of hair next time, so she had no choice. Haiz.
P/S: Credit for the picture below must go to Auntie Wenz for teaching Mummy the finer points of Microsoft Powerpoint, and Auntie Brenda for reminding Mummy that she could use Powerpoint to make montages! You'll be seeing more montages from Mummy in the days to come!

My First Lunar New Year

I am 4 weeks old today!!! On Wednesday I will reach my full month milestone and go out with Mummy and Daddy to distribute the cuppies that Mummy has helped me to order!

Mummy says that I've turned two years old already by Chinese reckoning. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??!! I only drink milk, my actions are still limited to eating, sleeping, crying, peeing and pooing and I am still a little peanut!!! *TRAUMATISED*

It's been a quiet New Year for me because I haven't reached my full month yet, and Mummy is still doing her confinement, so we both stayed at home. But yesterday (1st day of Chinese New Year) just for fun Mummy put on new clothes for me, since both she and Granny agreed that just because I have to stay at home doesn't mean I can't follow the tradition of wearing new clothes on New Year's Day. So Mummy dressed me in the romper that Auntie Rosie and Krissa jiejie gave me. It lasted 2 hours before it became wet and uncomfortable (I got milk down my front). So after that it was back to everyday wear for me.

Mummy took a photo of me with my ang baos (YEA! I did get a few ang baos!) but unfortunately she can't find the camera cable, so she can't upload the photo. Ok, enough rambling for now...

Smile! You're on candid camera!!!

Mummy is so proud that she finally caught me smiling on camera today. (For the record I am a very smiley baby but Mummy is always too slow to catch my smiles for the camera.) This is me after my morning feed - my happiest time of the day!

Yeah! Here's me learning yoga with Granny!

Claire of ten thousand looks

Ok, today I decided to take a rare afternoon nap, which is why Mummy has time to sit at the computer to create a new post! Today's theme: My ten thousand different looks since I was born!
As I said before, I did NOT appreciate being dragged out of my warm home (i.e. Mummy's tummy) like that...

Ooo... finally awake... I look much better when my face is not all red and scrunched up, huh?

Daddy was horrified when he first saw this picture coz he says I look exactly like him. Luckily for me that's slowly changing... hahahahahhahahaha

Slowly slimming down and beginning to look more like my cutie self!

This is my pensive, reflecting-on-my-future look. Heheheheheheheh

Being mischievious and sticking out my tongue for the camera

My innocent, I'm-a-princess-and-I-did-nothing-wrong look

Helloooooooooo world! Two weeks since my first photo!

The 'My' series photos

My Zodiac
(Doggie lo, what else?)

My Pacifier

(I terrorised Daddy and Mummy so much that they can't take it and they gave me the pacifier when I was 4 days old...)

My bedside friend

My granny

(Laughing away at me when I was being 'burped' by mummy)

Sleeping beauty

Now that Mummy is stuck at home for one month with nothing much to do apart from feeding me her other favourite pasttime is to take photos of me. And because my favourite pasttime is to sleep, she ended up with a lot of photos of me sleeping.
First day home

My 'Superman' pose (favourite pose after a satisfying meal)

I surrender... to the sleeping monsta...

My penguin suit (silly Mummy again, dress me up because she got nothing better to do!) But hor, I look very cute in it right??!!

My best friend - Ookie doll with Mummy's scent.

Directing traffic in my sleep

Home sweet home! - 24 January 2007

This is me in my going-home gear. Mummy prepared for months and brought three outfits to the hospital for me to choose from... so silly hor because in the end once I was wrapped up in the receiving blanket NO ONE COULD SEE WHAT I WAS WEARING!!! (But for the record I was wearing my pink Old Navy giraffe romper which my Ah Peh and Ah Em bought for me). Oh, and my cap (with silly big ball) was knitted for me by Granny!

My birth story!

Mummy's favourite photo of me! This is how I look when I poo/fart and according to mummy it was a long wet fart.... Ok, enough of the disgusting stories, let's move on to more exiciting one about my birth story......
Around 19/1/2007 evening-21/1/2007:
Mummy experienced mild contractions that never really stopped during the day. Probably Braxton Hicks (BH)? But now mummy think back might be first stage - dilation ah. Anyhow quite painless so mummy carried on normal activities... even managed to go shopping on Saturday. hahaha.
21/01/2007 11+pm:
Mummy's contractions still dun feel different from the contractions of the past couple of days. So mummy tried timing for fun, but she didn't really know how to time (cannot tell if there are peaks or not). So by her own aggaration, maybe about 20min 1 contraction. Mummy was looking out for backache but no backache leh. So she ignored the contractions and tried to sleep.
22/1/07
1.19am: Mummy was awoken by strong contraction. Uncomfortable. Start timing. Next contraction maybe about 12 min later? Hmmm. Mummy didn't know to believe or not because still dun feel backache. But she got tummyache, wanted to poo. So went toilet to poo. But nothing much came out - thought constipation. Irritated. Went back to try to sleep.
1.19am - 1.50am: Intermittent toilet visits because of tummy ache and need to pee.
Around 1.50am: Show! But got a bit only. Mummy went back to check her doctor's notes, which said that even when show labour can still start one-two days later. Mummy contemplated whether to wake Daddy up. Mummy decided to wait and see if she can feel backache. Dun have leh! So how can be real contraction! Must be BH!
2am: Very strong contraction. Mummy finally woke Daddy up and told him contraction very strong and got show. He asked her to time it. Clocked in at 4.5min interval. PANIC. Mummy started changing, but took some time because contractions were so strong she couldn't focus when they were on.
Around 2.30am: Mummy finally finished changing. She even grabbed storybook (coz labour very long mah, right?) and file of antenatal and bfing class notes to read during her anticipated long wait. Daddy asked her to time her contractions as they went to hospital. First timing in the car, 3.75min! Daddy floored accelerator at 160km/h. By the time they reached hospital 12min later, the last timing between contractions was about 2 min. But still no backache leh. Question mark.
2.45am: Mummy was wheeled into delivery suite. Cervix check by midwife - 8-9cm dilated! Mummy's first thought: will the gynae get here in time??? Midwife rushed out to call gynae after getting gas ready for mummy.
2.45am-3.15am: Mummy felt very strong contractions and urge to push. I'M COMING!!!Worst time of mummy's life man... Mummy was so terrified, and gas machiam no use because she wasn't inhaling much since she was in total panic mode. Daddy had to leave for 5min during this time to go move his car because A&E insisted car was blocking the ambulance's way (erm, but there was no ambulance in sight lor).
Around 3.15-3.20am : Gynae arrives. Dresses, sits down and chats with Daddy. Mummy wanna faint liao. Win liao lor.
Around 3.20-3.25am: Gynae says can start pushing liao. But mummy was too panicky liao, could not take instructions. Two contractions and "pushes" later, gynae said Mummy wasn't pushing at all. Decided to vacuum me out (!#$%&*, that hurts lo.....). Mummy screamed (an scared me in the process) when gynae inserted the vacuum cap. She always say to me that it's an indescribable experience.
3.30am: Princess Claire descends upon the world!

My first picture! Mummy says I look very fierce. But she got no idea how traumatising it was to stay inside a dark dark place for 9 months, then one fine day suddenly got this thing suck me by the head and pull me out by force. Once I'm out, got this few strange looking 'things' (that are many times bigger than me), put tubes into my nose and mouth and suck...
Actually I was feeling quite relieved by the time this photo was taken, but dunno why mummy keep saying I look fierce in this picture..... Noneheless, mummy says its not a bad thing after all! Cos in this case I won't get bullied easily, muahahahahahahahah!!!!!!
